About Bernard Gojer MD

Bernard Gojer, MD, FACC, is a native of North Texas with over 20 years of experience as a physician specializing in adult cardiovascular care. From 1996 to 2011, Dr. Gojer practiced the full spectrum of adult cardiovascular care as a member of the Cardiac and Vascular Center of North Texas and Cardiovascular Specialty Associates of North Texas, practicing in the Bedford, Texas, and Mid-Cities of Dallas and Fort Worth. He recently relocated his practice to Tyler, Texas, where he joined Sigal Heart Center, a full-service practice of general adult and interventional cardiology. Dr Gojer is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He has been on staff at multiple hospitals in the DFW Metroplex before moving to Tyler in 2011, where he is now on staff at East Texas Medical Center and Trinity Mother Francis Hospitals. He specializes in General Adult Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. He also has special training and expertise in Nuclear Cardiology, and Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. He holds five separate board certifications. He is a member of multiple medical societies, including the American Medical Association, American College of Cardiology, The Texas Medical Association, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, and the Society of Cardiovascular CT.

Dr. Gojer graduated summa cum laude with highest honors, from the University of Texas at Austin with a major in Biochemistry. He was awarded membership in the honor societies Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi. He attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas, then completed an internship and residencies at U.T. Heath Science Center in San Antonio. He served as a practicing internal medicine physician with the Southwest Medical Group, P.A., in San Antonio for one year before being accepted to a Cardiology Fellowship at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. From 1990 to 1994, he completed a fellowship in cardiology, with an additional specialized year of training in interventional cardiology. He served as a Clinical Instructor on the faculty of the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston from 1993 to 1994. He completed his postdoctoral work with a five-month preceptorship in Nuclear Cardiology at the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine. Dr. Gojer is the co-author of four medical publications.
